Bright and beautiful, Leni Riefenstahl was inspired by film at a young age and quickly rose in the industry first as an actress, and photographer and then as a director and producer. Her technical skill made her world-famous and as the favourite filmmaker of Hitler, she became infamous. Her films Triumph of the Will and Olympia are still studied for their technical beauty and for their use of image as propaganda. Not prosecuted during the Nuremberg trials, she became a symbol of the generation who claimed to be unaware of the genocide taking place in their name. This captivating insight into her life and legacy demonstrates the darkness and power of that denial.
