It’s the 1790s and after war with France, Scotland and the American colony, Britain is bitter and bleak. On a rugged, isolated Scottish moor, Tornado tours with her father’s travelling samurai puppet show. The family cross paths with a gang of ruthless criminals led by Sugarman and his ambitious son and finds herself on the run and in great danger. Both reinventing and paying homage to classic samurai films, this is an exhilarating tale of survival from the director of Slow West, beautifully photographed by the legendary Robbie Ryan and menacingly scored by Jed Kurzel.
